Metrokane Products added to CanadaVinturi.ca

I told you some time ago that I was going to be adding a few more products to those already offered at Canada Wine Aerator / Canada Vinturi. I thought that a few useful accessories were warranted as well as another choice in Aerators.

First things first. You can't enjoy the wine until you can get it open. I prefer simple to use corkscrews. The Metrokane Pocket Velvet Corkscrew is easy to use. Also folds up for easy storage. Best of all in my opinion is the integrated foil cutter - just twist the bottle and don't mess with those tiny knives on other corkscrews.

If you already have a favourite corkscrew and don't need another, do yourself a favour and look at a device to remove the foil on the bottle of wine. Until I used this little device I always cursed foil removal. This Foil Cutter by Metrokane makes short work of the task. Highly recommended.

Always wonder what to do when you have started a bottle of wine but are not going to finish it? The Metrokane Houdini Wine Preserver gives you an option. Easy to use hand vacuum pump and two special stoppers allow you to save your wine for a few days extra and give you a chance to finish at a later time. I view it as cheap insurance.

Vinturi - now in some new combinations

Since adding Vinturi wine aerator for White wine, the Vinturi tower and The Vinturi deluxe gift set, it has occurred to me that there might be several different ways people might like to buy these products.

One of the obvious ways you might want to buy is to buy both a Vinturi Red and White aerator. Vinturi Tower & Deluxe Gift Set - I was asked

If I could supply some other products. I originally wanted to keep it very simple but this past holiday season I was asked numerous times about the Vinturi Tower or the Vinturi Deluxe Gift set. Not a problem – you asked and now I have them in stock and ready to ship.

The first addition is the Vinturi Tower. This is for someone who already has a Vinturi. Do you need this? The honest answer is no – This does nothing to enhance the wine but it does make it easier to use for some people. The stand comes in 2 sections so that it is easy to set up and take apart for storage. All you do is insert your vinturi into the top of the stand and now you are able to pour one-handed. There is a little screen at the bottom that sits under the wine glass which will help catch any drips if you pull the glass away too soon. The stand does allow a novice user a bit of comfort when pouring thru the Vinturi. This might come in handy when you are letting your guests pour their own. Also makes a decent gift for anyone you know who loves their Vinturi.

The Vinturi Deluxe Gift set is for someone who does not already own a Vinturi. Comes with the Vinturi, sediment filter, small travel base, storage pouch and the Tower that I described above. It comes in a gorgeous gift box and makes a very substantial impression as a gift. Consider this when you feel that a Vinturi alone does not make the statement you want.
